I am so sorry. I do not know how I missed that your mother had passed. Scottie and I enjoyed many a snack at her table and we enjoyed roaming the fields owned by your parents as well as your playhouse. I always felt as though we were welcome guests and your mother was exceptionally kind to me and my brother. Of course, as an adult I realize how much your parents did for Mattie, who was the best thing that ever happened to both Scottie and I. I am grateful for all of the care and attention they poured into my grandmother. It is a beautiful photograph of a lovely woman.
Oh Patrice, thank you for your words and for sharing your memories. That means so much to me. I, too, have good memories of playing with you two! And such good memories of Aunt Mattie:) Hope you are well, and hello to Scottie.
